Is Indy Losing its Bicycling Mojo?

The United States Census Bureau released 2016 Journey to Work data this past week, and it does not paint a pretty picture for bicycling in Indianapolis. In fact, many cities that are notoriously bike-friendly, lost some ridership. This includes Portland, OR and Minneapolis, MN. However, this isn’t necessarily true across the board.

Incrementalism in an urban setting…what is it exactly? Dictionary.com defines it as a policy of making changes, especially social changes, by degrees; gradualism. But applied to a city like Indianapolis, what exactly does it mean and why is it important?

Strong Indy Website Launch

Strong Indy Website Launch

Strong Indy started growing and gaining popularity and it became quite apparent that we desperately needed a central place to call home. We have been lacking a good place to post our events, our thoughts and our mission without it getting lost in the chaotic (but immensely cool) places in our Facebook group. That’s the genesis of this first go at a website for Strong Indy. It’s far from being a complete website but it’s a start.
